Vice Minister Jiang attended the Opening Ceremony of CCCME Office in Taipei on Jan. 30

  

The opening ceremony of CCCME (China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products) office in Taipei was held in Taipei on January 30. The Chamber of Commerce became the first mainland economic and trade association to set up offices in Taiwan. Mr. Jiang Yaoping, Honorary President of the Cross-strait Economic and Trade Exchanges Association and Mainland China Chief Representative of the Cross-strait Economic Cooperation Committee, attended the Opening Ceremony.

The establishment of the office aimed at promoting cross-strait economic and trade exchanges and cooperation, and specific business of the office includes: to assist Chamber members to launch cross-strait trade and economic activities such as trade, investment, exhibitions, forums, conferences and training; to coordinate related economic and trade disputes; to carry out market researches; to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Taiwan economic and trade organizations, enterprises, and provide business consulting services.

China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products is committed to promoting long-term import and export of machinery and electronic products, and healthy development of investment and cooperation, and also is one of the first association to carry out economic and trade cooperation with Taiwan and have a wide range of contacts and cooperation with Taiwan. The Chamber of Commerce has now a membership of more than ten thousand, which many members are engaged in cross-strait economic and trade business, and some of them have set up branches or offices in Taiwan. The establishment of the Taipei office is conducive to further close relationship and deepen the cooperation of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the business sector in Taiwan, and to promote cross-strait business exchanges and cooperation, as well as, the development of cross-strait industries, and to build a solid platform to provide better service.

More than 300 officials from the mainland economy and trade associations, representatives of mainland enterprises invested in Taiwan and guests from Taiwan attended the Opening Ceremony.
