National Conference on Export of Large Complete Sets of Equipment was held in Guangzhou on September 10. Mr. Jiang Yaoping, Vice Minister of Commerce, attended and addressed the Conference.

Jiang Yaoping said that supported by the special financing insurance policy of 421 large complete sets of equipment, China’s export of large complete sets of equipment have achieved remarkable results at recent years and played an important role in response to the international financial crisis and maintain steady growth of foreign trade. Even the external demand is generally shrinking, the demands for China’s large complete sets of equipment, with its comprehensive comparative advantages of technology, price and duration, in international market rise steadily. Enterprises’ orders in hand reach US$ 100 billion.

Jiang Yaoping pointed out that large complete sets of equipment enjoys long industry chain, high added value, strong correlation, a wide range of employment, and plays a leading role. To expand the export of large complete sets of equipment has important significance on the current stable growth of foreign trade and is an inevitable choice of adjusting the structure and transfer the development mode. With the current down-sliding in export, the State Council requires to take a series of measures to stabilize foreign trade growth in the future. Each department should bring their ideas and actions into central analysis and judgment of the current situation and the decisions and arrangements of the work, formulate and improve relevant policies and measures, do a good job in the export of large complete sets of equipment.

Representatives from relevant departments of MOF, MFA, PBC and SAFE, financial institutions, Electromechanical chamber of Commerce and more than 100 enterprises of large complete sets of equipment attended the Conference.
