On June 17, Vice Minister of Commerce Jiang Yaoping, headed the officials from the Department of Information Technology, China International Economic Commerce Center, and the Rural Business Web, paid an inspection visit on the exemplary work of MOFCOM’s Rural Commercial Information Service Program in Yongqing, Hebei Province. And they held talks on strengthening rural commercial information service work with Shujiazhuang Municipal Government, Provincial Government, Commercial Department of Telecommunication Department of Hebei, local departments and representatives of peasant brokers.
Jiang inspected the information service station of the county and village in Yongqing Country and studied Yongqing’s trading situation at the online biz-matching fair for summer agricultural produce of MOFCOM. When he learned that Wawuxinzhuang village sold more than 20 million kilograms of vegetables through the said commercial web within one week, which has played the role in promoting rural circulation and welcomed by the peasants, he stressed that the 2nd session of the summer biz-matching fair should earnestly implement the instruction spirit of the State Council on settling the difficulty of selling vegetables and fruits in quake-effected areas, support the reconstruction there and serve for the biz-matching.
During the meeting, after listening to the exchange of the representatives from the departments of provinces, municipalities and counties, enterprises and rural brokers, Jiang pointed out that we should earnestly summarize the experience from all areas, allocate resources, combine the predominance of the ministry and province, unite with communication enterprises, speed up the development of rural commercial information service system. The information authentication system of the commercial web should be established and perfected, so as to further improve the temporal effectiveness.
